Severant is a band right up my alley with spacy jams, hard riffs and immaculate musicianship. Somewhere in April I had an interview planned with Loet, the guitarist, and he invited me to sit in with them. I didn’t hesitate and jumped at the opportunity. 

The battery on a hi powered RC Cars lasts about 20 minutes. These little buggies act like magnets as they whirl through the air and kick up dust in the corners on the local dirt track. You can’t help yourself to just admire the little machines piloted from afar. The men genuinely enjoy the small thrills and tinkering with these ‘’boy toys.‘’ Not one time did I catch a wistful smile on their faces.

Sometimes you stumble into a story.

Thursday Night I saw these cool cats hanging out in front of Het Klokgebouw. You can tell directly from the long hair that these dudes are in a band, Vitamin B12. So I asked them if I could make a couple portraits. They were kind enough to agree.  

Loud guitars were my first love....girls and photography came very much later. From my teens until my early twenties I breathed guitars. Anything and everything went into this ''obsession.'' All my savings, spare time and my ambitions all were tied to, you guest it, guitars.
